This hotrod has been constructed by ME!!!!! I built the motor , the frame FROM SCRATCH!!!and am a collision tech by trade an will do all the body and refinish MYSELF I will not send anything out to be done by somebody else!!!any body can hire somebody to do it for them only a real motorhead would have the pride to commit the years to learn to do it himself , I have 18 years of collision exp., ASE certified, and have been playing with nuts and bolts since I was 4.Building this truck has been a dream of mine since I was 10 years old. About 2001 june I bought a chop saw and 24 ft of 2x3 .120 wall mild steel tubing. I then fabricated a back half off of a 1980 Camaro subframe so that I could put a narrowed 9 inch underneath Tubbs with Mickey Thompsons and Centerlines,15x14 and 15x3 1/2. Motivation comes from a 73 vintage 400 Pontiac Catalina 10.0:1, .480 lift 290 duration single pattern cam and hyd.lifters, hooker headers, mallory unilite electric ign, and 1972 turbo 400 3 speed w/bang shift. 3.50:1 rear gears with 1998 Blazer S series discs and calipers along with competition engineering ladder link and coil overs round out the rear suspension. RCI racing buckets with B & M Z-Gate shifter and tilt cruise column from 83 olds 88,wiper controll, high beams and ignition switch all on column, now I plan to weld up most of the holes in the dash. Fully fabricated cab floor, and shortened box/floor with tilt steel front end. E-Z wiring 21 circuit flat blade fuse to replace factory 5 glass fuse harness. I also plan to cut a slot for the third light in the back of the cab over the back glass. I have fabbed a custom gauge panel from a stock gauge bezel and hole saw cut holes for the auto meter gauges I plan to use , currently I have an autometer volt meter and a fuel gauge '5" 160 M.P.H. speedo and a monster tach, oil pressure and water temp gauge ,.Soon I plan to plate it and start driving it on a semi regular basis or at least as much as I can afford to.currently I am working out all the rattles and squeeks that a low budget project like this will inevitably have , I need to brace all body panels at the wheel openings with struts and build reinforcement in a few of the floor panels because the tin has a tendancy to drum,

nov. 2007 After disassembling my hotrod to the last nut and bolt the frame required minor straightening and geometry correction. It was then ground, sanded, polished, and refinished in a dark charcoal hammertone. Brake and fuel lines were installed. All the front suspension components have been sand blasted, overhauled, and refinished as well as all steering components. The rear suspension was assembled first after being stripped and refinished. After the the front suspension was assembled, the motor and transmission was installed, plus the drive shaft and transmission crossmember were modified due to the fact that the turbo 400 was longer than the powerglide. The floor of the cab was sandblasted from below and coated with enamel. The headers, flowmasters, and pipe has been run to the rear of the frame. Now that the chassis is detailed and the motor and tranny ( turbo 400 w/bang shift) is installed I will focus my attention on the cab , which I will need to spend a considerable amount of time on , the doors fit and latch poorly , many small dents minor rust , then the nose and finaly the box, I am thinking about bright orange with a gold pearl and charcoal accents , Its gonna be awesome!!!
